A Retiring General

Thomas Sumter will always be a special place to me.  I learned this year that one memorable teacher was retiring after thirty-nine years of service. While she has held many positions, she leaves as Head of School.  I am grateful that during her busy last week of school- she gave me a few moments of her time. We talked about future plans, sweet grand children, and yes- Thomas Sumter. She described different pieces of history that she had collected over the years. I was amazed at her knowledge of TSA even before she started there. In my elementary days, I looked forward to when Mrs. Nix would be my teacher.  When that time arrive, she was everything I had hoped for. She was infectious, captivating, and encouraging. She truly is one of the finest in the land!

Low Country Rehearsal

This sweet friend couldn't have asked for a better evening. From the salty air to the gorgeous oak trees- the low country was at it's finest. It was an honor to be apart of this celebration!
